Lots of indoor time this week with the snowpocalypse – more than 2 feet of snow! We played in it, of course, just not for long. Huge clumps fell from our trees on top of us every time we ventured out. Group sledding on Friday was a favorite.

Last Week in Photos – March 20, 2021
Highlights this week: Morrison Natural History Museum – they’d cancelled our trip due to a snow-filled lot, then plowed an hour before our reservation. We got to go! Lots of handcraft projects this week and our new Bitsbox kit, which lasted a few days.

Highlights this week: Four out of five week days outside – 11 hours. Also, we did a field trip to the zoo + a knife store! And a big group hike to end the week with the best kind of tired.
March 7 – Weekly Tracking
Getting more and more time accumulated toward our 1000 hours goal with the lovely spring-like weather. This is usually when our “school year” switches gears from book work to outside x 100, but we’re not there yet, mentally. Soon?

February 28 – Weekly Tracking
Finally, a spring-like week! We spent loads of time outdoors this week, roaming parks and the zoo, picnicking, and hiking. Our month of Lego has come to an end – it’s beautiful having an empty living room floor again.
How to Make “We Care” Bags
I look at parents begging at street corners and they have my heart. It’s difficult to disassociate from them. Rather than sending money away to charities that help from afar, I hand it out the window a few dollars at a time.

Early season trip to Moab at the end of last week, into this one, so lots of hiking and geology work. Plenty of time outside, peering at rocks of many types, and then returning home to a snow storm!
