Happiest New Year! Not a lot to write, really. We drove to KC, where we were slated to spend a lazy week with family + cousins. Due to a COVID breakout, however, we drove back home the next day and were required to quarantine. So I took my “break” here.

New Rhythm: Things We Do in Darkness
Movement-wise, I despise this season of indoorsy time. While we’re beginning this season of darkness, of restoration, of bolstered connection, I relax with all the books, all the tea, and all of the couch cuddles.

but i wonder, now, if the freedom approach would have altered anything. because sugar is addictive and yummy, and because their toddler+ systems gave solid feedback and they were still listening for that input then. now… i don’t see that check-in as much.
