Happiest New Year! Not a lot to write, really. We drove to KC, where we were slated to spend a lazy week with family + cousins. Due to a COVID breakout, however, we drove back home the next day and were required to quarantine. So I took my “break” here.
Happy Holidays to everyone! We’re in a full embrace with our free time, currently. Back in 2022!
We’re excited to do a full moon hike tonight with friends and full-shift into winter with a solstice celebration next week. It’s on – welcome holiday season!
Whew. We’ve begun embracing the season and starting all the holiday crafts and our seasonal read-aloud, all great things!
A lovely week of crowding outdoors as much as possible, soaking up the sunshine and pretending we don’t mind that it’s a snow-less year so far.
Last week started out great, then turned into a sick week off. Hoping we can sleep it off soon. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Movement-wise, I despise this season of indoorsy time. While we’re beginning this season of darkness, of restoration, of bolstered connection, I relax with all the books, all the tea, and all of the couch cuddles.
More gorgeous fall weather = more time outside, right? We are soaking it all in.
but i wonder, now, if the freedom approach would have altered anything. because sugar is addictive and yummy, and because their toddler+ systems gave solid feedback and they were still listening for that input then. now… i don’t see that check-in as much.
