The kids planned their Valentine’s Day party this week and then celebrated early with cupcakes they decorated and a pile of cheers, including pyramids + a few burritos! We had friends stay with us a few days and I have zero photos of their sleepover, dance parties or movie sessions.
We got together with George’s Kansas City Chiefs crew for the first time all year, and it was great to catch up + see all the kids playing together again. Then our Wildlings groups resumed + we met some new people!
This week we learned to use the snowblower + strengthened our ankles with some ice skating + sledded 3x + took a melting snow walk with an RC car spinning slush at everyone.
Another easy week in the books. Off we go to SkyZone and the National Western Stock Show, then some at-home cooking challenges with bread, rolls and sushi.
Happiest New Year! Not a lot to write, really. We drove to KC, where we were slated to spend a lazy week with family + cousins. Due to a COVID breakout, however, we drove back home the next day and were required to quarantine. So I took my “break” here.
Happy Holidays to everyone! We’re in a full embrace with our free time, currently. Back in 2022!
We’re excited to do a full moon hike tonight with friends and full-shift into winter with a solstice celebration next week. It’s on – welcome holiday season!
Whew. We’ve begun embracing the season and starting all the holiday crafts and our seasonal read-aloud, all great things!
A lovely week of crowding outdoors as much as possible, soaking up the sunshine and pretending we don’t mind that it’s a snow-less year so far.
