We rounded mid-week with a grandparent visit, the first of many throughout our school year. Because of our flexible schedule, they’re always popping up for a week here and there. That was this week. Highlight of the week was ending with a lemonade stand – the kids did loads of math for this one, includingContinue reading “September 11 – Weekly Tracking + Photos”
It’s our first week thrown fully into our new schedule, though I haven’t yet unleashed a new morning routine at home. (Felt like too much all at once.) Now at the end of it: tiredness. Two full-on social days sandwiching a 90-minute car trip to Wilder’s 3-hour shop class means we’re drained by Thursday. WithContinue reading “August 30 – Weekly Tracking + Photos”
And the “official” school year is over for us, and with it the end of my weekly tracking posts. I do this each week throughout the year, just for myself. These posts will see you next fall! Adios!

Please, please, please bring me more spring weather! I’m in love with the green and verdant things, and all of the birdsong.
Overwhelmed with work this week, so there’s no drawing section. Oh well. Pared down to the basics between grandparents and the need for down time, plus inclement weather. Are we done yet?!?
Okay, we’re rolling on the outdoor time this week! We’ll make it to 20 soon, and I’m super excited. Grandparents visit began Wednesday, so we shoved responsibilities into the first three days of the week, and then took two days off. Yet the documentarian in me still writes!
Road trip to Colby, KS, over last weekend. It started our week slowly, which was nice. We visited my parents’ and finally saw the new house they’ve been living in since last fall! Gained some momentum with nice weather and lots of time outside by the end of the week. We’re done with our first 100 hours outside – slow and steady!
