Last week, we did some camping with friends – and this is one of those things that’s consistently better with friends. I highly recommend it.

Fun week of new experiences: trying out archery with a new 4H group in person, geocaching on bicycles in our neighborhood, a self-imposed sibling Chopped Challenge, speed burning with Wilder’s handcarved fire sticks, and spore printing mushrooms that grew in our front yard to try and identify them.

Oof liked it that way: a secret life. they didn’t have long, mushrooms, so why shouldn’t they live happily? Three days ago it had rained. A real downpour, the elder Ooaf said, nodding sagely on a gummy stem.
