February 4 – Weekly Photos + Notes

This week, we tried a new way to organize our family by using lists. Each kid received a journal for Christmas that’s a daily, self-ordered checklist. We chose Wednesday to start, as that’s our home day, and began planning our day at the table after we finished reading. We picked up sushi from Sprouts that day and ate outside, enjoying the warmer weather and discussing which books we want to read next. Writing the goals themselves by Friday, we managed to get a few more tasks finished than usual by day’s end. They don’t seem to care about checking stuff off the list, just putting it on (that complaint is my own). After a long, slow January, this is my ramp-up to resuming regular activities by next week.

January 22 – Weekly Photos + Notes

This was our last quiet week at home before the big indoor group resumes, so we had friends over, caught up on board games with Grandma (2x in a week!), read tarot, made tiny candy food, watched Ms Marvel + Amber Brown while painting our nails, baked cinnamon rolls + cuddled our cats.

I’m thinking about this more as I go along because we do all enjoy watching the digital frame churn out memories, and how did they get there? Hmm.

January 1 – Weekly Photos

Lots of slow time at home to enjoy the thoughtful gifts we received – even for January Christmas, which my family celebrated on New Year’s Day.

December 4 – Weekly Photos

Our last, full week of everything included a last-minute Nuggets game with extended family. We got the best seats we’ve ever had – 9 rows back! – and enjoyed watching the actual game instead of on the jumbo-tron. The kids aren’t usually very interested in team sports, but this time they were old enough toContinue reading “December 4 – Weekly Photos”

The Week in Photos – August 29, 2021

We spent the week stacking new habits onto old ones, aiming for a little bit more structure each week until we ramp up to our full fall schedule.

The Week in Photos – August 22, 2021

When we have a fun, outdoorsy week like this one, I’m so thankful our summers don’t end with butts in desks.

The Week in Photos – August 15, 2021

Week “at home,” yet we’re hardly there with all the outdoor time, the friend time, and the adventures. Hooray!
