January 15 – Weekly Photos

We spent lots of time sledding this week. Our front yard always gets hit first, even though it’s a gentle, easy slope. But we took two trips to sled with friends as well. So much glorious snow – and perfect for sledding for once!

January 8 – Weekly Photos

In that vein, I’ve tried to limit my photography this week as well. The kids have grown leery of me snapping a picture whenever they’re trying something new, and it’s starting to feel intrusive to me as well. I don’t need to document everything, right? I’m thinking about this more as I go along because we do all enjoy watching the digital frame churn out memories, and how did they get there? Hmm.

January 1 – Weekly Photos

Lots of slow time at home to enjoy the thoughtful gifts we received – even for January Christmas, which my family celebrated on New Year’s Day.

Our last, full week of everything included a last-minute Nuggets game with extended family. We got the best seats we’ve ever had – 9 rows back! – and enjoyed watching the actual game instead of on the jumbo-tron. We’re doing a series of summer sessions, growing a new homeschool community, and it’s been fun to see the kids interact in groups again. Wow, is it mayhem! Just general excitement to see their friends again each week and explore new topics.
